About the Author
Thank you for stopping by.* I hope you’ll want to read some more of my writing.* Here is a little information that can help you know me better.
I’ve been a newspaper columnist for the Observer in Dunkirk, NY since 2000.* I started with an occasional column on the clergy page but eventually moved to the editorial page where I now publish a column twice a month.* Besides my writing, I’m a speaker in western New York churches. I’m also a registered healer and trained mediator.* My wife Marie and I live in Cassadaga, NY where we garden and grandparent and, when I can, I meditate, think and write.
I’m retired from State University of New York in Fredonia where I directed Human Resources for twenty-five years.* I was ordained a Catholic priest in 1959 and married Marie in 1971. We have three children and seven grandchildren who bring us much joy.
If you’re interested in my academic credentials, here they are. I have graduate degrees in philosophy, theology and counseling from Saint Bonaventure University, Manhattan College and the University of New Hampshire.
I’ve also been active in my local community with the United Way, the American Red Cross, and the Dunkirk-Fredonia Center for Peace and Justice.
